Why I started Stoke Laptops
I started Stoke Laptops after watching too many shops put their profit margins ahead of the people walking through the door. Warranties they'd try to wriggle out of. Payment taken up front, then your device left sitting for weeks because there was no real reason to hurry. That never sat right with me.
This isn't my first shop. I've got the skills and the knowledge, and I've always connected well with people. So I wanted to do it differently: help folks get the devices they need at a price they can afford, give them the best service and the best kit I can, and run it in a way that still stacks up as a business.
To make that happen, I've partnered with charities, education authorities and other local businesses. It all comes down to one simple promise.

A few things we won't budge on
Affordable, not just cheap. We keep our prices low so good tech stays within reach for everyone, not just competitive on a comparison site. Fair prices for real people.
We stand by our work. Everything we sell is guaranteed for a year, repairs for six months. And we'll often go further than we have to, because that's how you treat people.
Straight answers. If something isn't worth fixing, we'll tell you. We'd rather lose a job than sell you something you don't need.
We're part of Stoke, not just in it
Being a local shop means more than having a local address. Here's a bit of what we get up to around here.
Real IT placements. We work with local colleges to give students proper, hands-on IT experience, the kind you can't get from a textbook.
Less tech in landfill. Our free recycling keeps old devices out of the bin, gets them wiped, and sends what we can't refurb to a local charity.
Tech for everyone. By refurbishing and keeping prices fair, we help get working tech into the hands of people who need it.
